Our Story

Soma Retreats is a nature-based wellness retreat platform dedicated to helping people reconnect with the wisdom of their bodies, the rhythms of the natural world, and the healing traditions carried through cultures across the globe. Our retreats are designed as spaces where participants can slow down and step away from the constant demands of modern life in order to reconnect with themselves, their communities, and the living earth. At the heart of Soma Retreats is the belief that the body holds deep wisdom. and that humans are apart of nature and through healing ourselves we can help heal the Earth and our communities. Through somatic healing practices such as meditation, yoga, breathwork, and nature immersion, participants are invited to listen to their bodies as a guide for restoration, balance, and wellbeing. A central part of our work is honoring traditional knowledge and the teachers who carry it.

Acessibility + Community

At Soma Retreats, we believe healing spaces should be accessible to more people. As part of our commitment to community care, we offer sponsored retreat spaces for individuals who may not otherwise have access to restorative wellness experiences. Some of these spaces are offered in collaboration with organizations such as Luminary Integrative Health, a nonprofit dedicated to providing trauma-informed holistic health support and education for women healing from experiences of gender-based violence. Through partnerships like this, we aim to extend opportunities for rest, nature connection, and somatic healing to individuals who would benefit from these spaces of care and restoration. As Soma Retreats grows, we hope to continue expanding partnerships with community organizations that support healing, resilience, and access to holistic wellbeing.

Land Stewardship

Many healing traditions teach that the earth is both teacher and healer. Through herbal medicine, nature immersion, and traditional ecological wisdom, we invite participants to deepen their relationship with the land and develop a greater sense of responsibility toward protecting the natural world.

Healing rarely happens in isolation. We believe in the power of authentic human connection and shared experience, and we intentionally cultivate environments where people can feel supported, seen, and part of a community.

Soma Retreats believes that many of the world’s healing traditions are carried through culture, community, and ancestral knowledge. We partner with traditional healers, cultural educators, and practitioners who share teachings from their own lived traditions, creating opportunities for participants to learn respectfully while honoring the cultures that hold this wisdom.

Divine Connection

We believe that all life is deeply interconnected. Whether one understands this connection through nature, spirituality, faith, or a sense of universal belonging, we hold space for the understanding that healing and wellbeing are shared experiences. Our retreats honor diverse spiritual perspectives while recognizing our collective responsibility to care for one another and the world we inhabit.

Body Wisdom

We believe the body holds deep intelligence and is an essential guide in the healing process. Through somatic practices such as meditation, breathwork, yoga, and mindful movement, we encourage participants to reconnect with their own inner awareness and trust the wisdom of their bodies.
