Asia Mann - Founder + Lead Teacher, Clinical Herbalist
Asia is the founder and guiding facilitator of SOMA Retreats, a nature-rooted sanctuary devoted to healing, remembrance, and embodied living. As a Certified Medical Herbalist, Yoga Teacher, Doula, Ceremonialist, and Educator, her work centers on creating intentional spaces where individuals can slow down, reconnect with the natural world, and return to the wisdom of their own bodies. SOMA Retreats is born from the understanding that nature itself is a profound healer and emerged during a personal experience 15 years ago when Asia attended a retreat in British Columbia that further shaped the rest of her life. It was at that moment that the seed for SOMA retreats was planted.
Through thoughtfully held retreats, rituals, and immersive experiences, Asia weaves together earth-based practices, herbal medicine, movement, and ceremony to support deep rest, integration, and transformation. Her role as a space holder is guided by presence, reverence, and a deep respect for each person’s unique journey.
Freebirthing both of her children in the lush landscapes of the Osa Peninsula further anchored her devotion to honoring life transitions as sacred thresholds—moments that call for tenderness, safety, and intentional care.
At the heart of SOMA Retreats is a passion for traditonal living and a commitment to connection, and remembrance—remembering how to live in rhythm with the earth, with community, and with one’s own inner knowing.
